Sky Force OTT Release Date: Akshay Kumar And Veer Pahariya's Film Gears Up For Digital Release

Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's debut film, 'Sky Force', hit theaters on January 24, coinciding with Republic Day. Despite achieving a remarkable net collection of 1,113.60 crores in India and a global gross of 149.99 crores, the movie was ultimately deemed a flop due to its hefty budget of 160 crores.

Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani, 'Sky Force' features a stellar cast, including Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan. The film is inspired by the 1965 airstrike between India and Pakistan, where India targeted Pakistan's Sargodha airbase.

As of now, the movie is available for rental on Amazon Prime Video, and starting today, March 21, 2025, it will be accessible for all subscribers to stream at no extra cost.

Drawing inspiration from true events, 'Sky Force' tells a gripping story that sheds light on one of India's first and most lethal airstrikes against Pakistan. The narrative centers around Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja (played by Akshay Kumar), who is tasked with leading a retaliatory mission alongside his team. At the time, the Indian Air Force was equipped with less capable fighter jets compared to the advanced aircraft of Pakistan. Nevertheless, Wing Commander Ahuja and his team launched a surprise attack on the formidable Sargodha Airbase, successfully destroying several enemy planes. Tragically, during this operation, Squadron Leader T. Vijay did not return to base, and news soon surfaced that his aircraft had been downed. Haunted by the loss of his comrade T. Vijay, Wing Commander Ahuja embarks on a mission to find him.
