RJ Balaji comments on Nayanthara-Dhanush feud over Netflix documentary: 'Audience seems entertained'

Filmmaker-actor RJ Balaji recently attended a fan festival hosted by Galatta in Chennai, where he discussed his upcoming projects. During the event, he was asked about the ongoing feud between his former co-stars, Nayanthara and Dhanush, sparked by a dispute over footage used in the Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale. Here's what RJ Balaji had to say about the situation:
Having previously worked with both Nayanthara in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Muukuthi Amman and Dhanush, Balaji was questioned about the public disagreement. He responded, “Much like you, I found out about this online, too. The audience seems entertained by their fight. But what can I say? Dhanush sir didn’t respond to it, so who am I to comment?”
Balaji, however, expressed his confidence that both actors would resolve the issue on their own. “They’re both mature actors. They can address it legally or through social media. They’ll handle it however they choose. My focus is on my movie with Suriya sir,” he added, before sharing his excitement about working with Suriya on a new project, Sorgavaasal, and his direction role.
In the midst of the controversy, Nayanthara had posted an open letter on Instagram criticising Dhanush for denying her permission to use behind-the-scenes footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her documentary, citing her relationship with director Vignesh Shivan. Dhanush’s team responded with a legal notice demanding the removal of the footage.
