Amazon Prime Video is preparing to announce the streaming date for "Game Changer," featuring Ram Charan. The platform has hinted at an upcoming major announcement, leading to speculation that the film will be available for streaming on February 14.
"Game Changer," directed by Shankar and produced by Dil Raju, was released in theaters on January 10, 2025. Despite high expectations, the political action thriller did not perform as anticipated at the box office. Reports indicate that the film collected approximately Rs 127 crore net in India over 12 days, raising concerns about potential financial losses for the producer.
In the film, Ram Charan portrays dual roles, including an IAS officer named Ramnandan. Kiara Advani and Anjali play the female leads, with SJ Suryah, Sunil, and Srikanth in supporting roles. The music is composed by Thaman.
The narrative centers on the conflict between an upright IAS officer and a corrupt Chief Minister. Ramnandan, after becoming a collector, confronts corrupt officials, leading to a power struggle with Chief Minister Bobbili Satyamurthy and his successor, Bobbili Mopidevi. The story delves into themes of political intrigue and personal vendettas.
While the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions are expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video, reports suggest that the Hindi version might be released on a different platform, possibly Zee5.
An official confirmation regarding the OTT release date and platform specifics is awaited.
