Pushpa 2 Shatters Records, Overtakes Stree 2, Gadar 2 & Animal: Top 2nd Weekend Box Office Collections
The second-weekend record of Pushpa 2 is poised to stand for a long time, similar to Bahubali 2, which held the #1 spot for over 6 years and 3 months.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has shattered box office records in its second weekend, outperforming previous blockbusters by an impressive margin of 27%. According to estimates, the film, directed by Sukumar, raked in between Rs 115 crore and Rs 117 crore over the weekend, bringing its 11-day total to an astounding Rs 508 crore. With this performance, Pushpa 2 has also become the fastest Hindi film to cross the Rs 500 crore milestone and is now eyeing the Rs 600 crore and Rs 700 crore clubs in the coming weeks.
After a strong Rs 391.50 crore in its first week, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 24.50 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 42 crore on Saturday, and nearly Rs 50 crore on Sunday. The second-weekend earnings have set an all-time record, surpassing the collections of previous blockbusters like Stree 2 (Rs 92 crore), Gadar 2 (Rs 88 crore), Animal (Rs 87 crore), and Bahubali 2 (Rs 79 crore).
The second-weekend record of Pushpa 2 could stand unchallenged for a long time, much like Bahubali 2, which held the #1 position for over six years until the release of Gadar 2. The film has also made history by becoming the first Hindi film to gross over Rs 100 crore in its second weekend and is on track to surpass Rs 150 crore in its second week.
In terms of lifetime earnings, Pushpa 2 is set to surpass the collections of Bahubali 2, Pathaan, and Gadar 2 by its second Monday, making it the third highest-grossing film of all time in just 12 days. By the end of its third weekend, it is projected to surpass Jawan (Rs 558 crore) and Stree 2 (Rs 585 crore), becoming the #1 film in the history of Indian cinema.
