Allu Arjun's blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule is setting new records at the box office, swiftly approaching the Rs 1,000 crore mark. The Hindi version of the film is performing well, even surpassing its Telugu counterpart in several regions. However, a sudden conflict with major multiplex chain PVR INOX recently raised concerns about the film's screenings in North India.

On Thursday, trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared shocking news on social media, stating that Pushpa 2 would be removed from PVR INOX theatres across North India due to a disagreement. This announcement left both fans and the film industry in shock. Hours later, he provided a positive update, confirming that the issue had been resolved and screenings were gradually resuming in these multiplexes.

The root of the conflict reportedly stemmed from disagreements regarding the theatrical-to-OTT release window. Multiplex operators had earlier pushed for an eight-week gap to maximize their revenues. This debate has resurfaced with the release of Pushpa 2, which had a similar dispute during its Hindi version's rollout.

Despite these hurdles, Pushpa 2 continues to shatter records. The film, which has already completed two weeks in theatres, amassed Rs 991 crore globally by Thursday. Its second-week collection alone stands at Rs 264 crore. Analysts predict the film will easily surpass the Rs 1,000 crore milestone within days.
