Pushpa 2 Advance Booking Update

"Pushpa 2: The Rule" is poised to break records at the Indian box office, with advance booking trends indicating strong demand nationwide. According to the trade website Sacnilk, advance ticket sales for "Pushpa 2: The Rule" are flourishing, already accumulating an impressive ₹30.92 crore for its opening day. With just three days remaining until the premiere and Allu Arjun and the team ramping up promotional efforts, these numbers may continue to surprise.

Over 660,000 tickets have been sold across all languages and formats, including 2D, 3D, IMAX, and 4DX. As anticipated, the Telugu version has achieved remarkable figures, but the Hindi version is performing exceptionally well as well. The advance bookings for the Telugu version have reached ₹10.57 crore, while the Hindi version has garnered ₹10.14 crore. Notably, the Hindi version has sold 340,892 tickets compared to 273,519 for the Telugu version, marking a significant milestone in recent Indian cinema. While the Telugu 2D version leads overall ticket sales, the Hindi 3D and IMAX formats are driving strong demand. For context, the opening weekend collection for the Hindi version of "Pushpa 1" was around ₹13 crore, and "Pushpa 2" is expected to exceed that figure on its opening day.

The Malayalam version of "Pushpa 2" is also performing well, while ticket sales for the Tamil and Kannada versions are gradually increasing. It is worth noting that bookings for the Tamil version just commenced a day ago, coinciding with heavy rains and a cyclone affecting the state. As conditions improve, ticket sales are expected to rise. In comparison, "Kalki 2989 AD," the highest-grossing film of the year, achieved ₹61 crore in advance bookings for its opening day, ultimately earning ₹95.3 crore on release day. Observers are keenly watching to see if "Pushpa 2: The Rule" will cross the ₹100 crore mark domestically on its first day. The presence of paid premieres on December 4, coupled with government-approved price hikes, could significantly enhance the film’s opening weekend.

Cast and Crew

In "Pushpa 2: The Rule," Allu Arjun reprises his titular role, joined by returning cast members Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Dhananjaya, and Prathap Bhandari from the first installment. Despite a public disagreement with the filmmakers over the delay in scoring the background music, Devi Sri Prasad has once again produced a hit soundtrack, with the latest release, "Peelings," going viral within hours. However, reports indicate that Sam CS and Thaman S have replaced Devi Sri Prasad for the film's background score.

Pushpa 2 Budget and Expectations

Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of both installments of "Pushpa," have invested approximately ₹400-500 crore in the second film and are optimistic about recouping this cost at the box office. Following "Kalki 2898 AD," which is the only film this year to surpass the ₹1000 crore mark, all eyes are on "Pushpa 2: The Rule" to see if it can join this elite club.

Release Date

"Pushpa 2: The Rule" is set to release on December 5 and will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Bengali.
