Mayoori Kango Bollywood diva makes impressive move from showbiz to Sundar Pichai's Google

Mayoori Kango, the former Bollywood actress known for her role in the popular song 'Ghar Se Nikalte Hi' from the film 'Papa Kehte Hain' (1996), has made a remarkable transition in her career. After leaving the glamour of showbiz behind, she joined Google India, led by Sundar Pichai, and is now earning a substantial income in crores.

Mayoori's journey exemplifies her combination of beauty and intelligence. While still in Class 12, she caught the attention of director-producer Mahesh Bhatt, who offered her a role in 'Papa Kehte Hain'. Following this debut, she went on to work with renowned actors such as Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, and Telugu heartthrob Mahesh Babu in films like 'Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet' and 'Vamsi', alongside Mahesh Babu's wife Namrata Shirodkar.

However, despite her talent, many of Mayoori's films failed to make a mark at the box office, and 16 of them remained unreleased. This led her to reconsider her career path. Although she had been accepted into IIT Kanpur, she decided to prioritize her studies and pursue an MBA instead.

In 2003, Mayoori bid farewell to acting and tied the knot with NRI Aditya Dhillon before relocating to the United States. She pursued an MBA in Marketing and Finance at Baruch College Zicklin School of Business and subsequently worked in the United States from 2004 to 2012. In 2013, she returned to India and assumed the role of Managing Director at a company called Performix.

In 2019, Mayoori embarked on a new chapter by joining Google India, where she currently holds the position of Industry Head. She has now progressed to become the Head of Industry - Agency Partnership at Google India. Her transition from being an actress to achieving such a significant role at Google India is truly remarkable and serves as an inspiration to others.
