Kim Soo Hyun denies dating Kim Sae Ron as a minor; Garosero releases alleged chats and photos

South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun is at the center of controversy as new allegations emerge regarding his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron. The YouTube platform Garosero has released purported evidence, including photos and chat exchanges, suggesting that the two were involved when Sae Ron was still a minor.

Garosero Challenges Kim Soo Hyun’s Defense

During a recent press conference, Kim Soo Hyun and his legal team dismissed the claims, arguing that all released photos were from 2019, when Sae Ron was already an adult. However, Garosero countered this statement by sharing additional images, chat records, and metadata analysis, asserting that their relationship began in 2017. The platform also claimed access to Sae Ron’s electronic devices, which are reportedly undergoing forensic analysis.

Leaked Chats Fuel Speculation

On April 2, Garosero aired alleged chat conversations from 2018, in which Sae Ron expressed frustration over being ignored. In one message, she reportedly wrote: “Oppa, when you miss me and need me, you reach out without a problem. But when I need you, you’re always missing. If you don’t put in the effort, then I’m not seeing you anymore.” Garosero’s Kim Se Ui argued that the emotional tone of these messages indicated a deeper connection beyond casual friendship or professional ties.

Metadata Claims and Photo Evidence

Garosero further escalated its claims by presenting a 2017 photo allegedly taken by Kim Sae Ron. According to the platform, metadata confirms it was captured on September 20, 2017—when Sae Ron was in 10th grade. Another selfie from April 2017, purportedly taken at Kim Soo Hyun’s home, has also been highlighted as evidence of their alleged relationship.

Kim Soo Hyun’s Legal Response

In response, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, LKB & Partners, has taken legal action against Garosero for defamation and stalking. The firm claims that the YouTube platform has been targeting the actor with daily content since March 10, disseminating private images, videos, and messages. Their official statement emphasizes the need for a thorough investigation to curb what they call “cyber harassment.”
