The much-awaited first look of Prabhas in the upcoming mythological film Kannappa will be revealed on February 3. The announcement, made by the film's production team, has ignited excitement among fans of the Rebel Star and cinephiles alike.
The film, spearheaded by actor-producer Manchu Vishnu, narrates the story of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, known for his work on the Mahabharata TV series, the project is being produced on a grand scale. Prabhas, a pan-India star, plays a significant role in the movie, adding to its anticipation.
A teaser poster released on Monday features a glimpse of Prabhas with a tattoo on his forehead, his intense eyes complementing a trident in the background. The full first look, along with details about his character, will be unveiled on February 3. Speculation about Prabhas’ role has been rife, with rumors suggesting he might portray Nandi, the sacred companion of Lord Shiva.
Kannappa is being produced as a pan-India film, aiming to captivate audiences across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and even English-speaking regions. The film is slated for release on April 25. The cast includes Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati. Other actors such as Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Sarath Kumar, Madhoo, Brahmaji, and Preethi Mukundan play pivotal roles.
Manchu Vishnu and Mohan Babu are producing the film under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments. With a budget exceeding Rs 100 crores, the production boasts high-end visual effects and music composed by Stephen Devasi.
