Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bollywood’s power couple, are currently making headlines due to rumours of an impending divorce. While neither of them has confirmed these speculations, there have been several indications from the couple suggesting that things may not be as smooth between them as they once were.
In the midst of this, Abhishek is captivating audiences with his performance in the recently released film I Want To Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar. In an interview with Rediff.com, he shared his approach to acting, stating, "I hope every actor gets to do career-defining work with every film they choose. That's the attitude with which you should approach each role. I try to do that with every film of mine." He also reflected on the emotional aspects of his work, noting, "As actors, we deal with pain and suffering because that's what we do."
Abhishek emphasised his role as a "director’s actor," giving full credit to Shoojit Sircar for his performance. "We listen to the direction given by our director—in this case, Shoojitda. The credit goes entirely to him; I’m just a puppet in his hands," he said.
In a conversation with ETimes, Abhishek spoke about the importance of breaking free from life’s routine, sharing his gratitude toward Shoojit Sircar for helping him step away from the typical Bollywood formula. "We all get stuck in the rut of life," he said, adding that life often dictates what we do and how we do it.
In addition to Abhishek, I Want To Talk features a talented ensemble cast, including Pearle Dey, Ahilya Bamroo, Jayant Kripalani, Kristin Goddard, and Johny Lever. Meanwhile, Aishwarya was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: II, continuing to build her successful career.
