Govinda reacts to divorce rumors with Sunita Ahuja: ‘I am focused on my films’

Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have been making headlines amid speculations about their marriage. Reports suggest that after 37 years together, the couple might be heading for a divorce. According to sources close to the family, Sunita had sent a separation notice a few months ago, but there hasn’t been any progress since.

Now, Govinda has finally addressed the rumors. When contacted by ETimes, he responded, "These are just business talks... I am in the process of starting my films." His manager, Shashi Sinha, also spoke on the matter, explaining that tensions in the family arose due to statements made by certain relatives. However, he clarified that there is nothing more to it and that Govinda is currently busy planning a new film project.

Meanwhile, News18 Showsha tried reaching out to Sunita Ahuja and their daughter, Tina Ahuja, for a comment, but they have not responded yet.

Interestingly, last month, Sunita shared an insight into their personal lives, revealing that she and Govinda don’t live together. While she and their children stay in an apartment, Govinda resides in a bungalow right across from them. Speaking about this arrangement, Sunita admitted that she no longer feels as secure in her marriage as she once did.

"We have two homes—our flat and a bungalow opposite. I live in the flat with my children, while Govinda stays in the bungalow. He enjoys chatting with people and often gets home late after meetings. On the other hand, my kids and I live together, but we hardly talk much because I feel talking too much drains energy," she told Pinkvilla Hindi Rush.

For now, Govinda has dismissed the divorce rumors, but only time will tell what’s really going on between the couple.
