Game Changer Opens Strong; Rs 50 Crore Day 1 Target in Sight

Game Changer, the highly anticipated action-drama featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, premiered in theaters on Friday and is poised for a strong debut at the box office. Directed by S. Shankar, the film has generated significant buzz, with advance ticket sales setting the stage for a robust opening.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Game Changer has sold approximately 9.39 lakh tickets across 17,161 shows nationwide. This has resulted in an advance booking revenue of Rs 26.8 crore, which, when combined with blocked seats, has pushed the total to an impressive Rs 43.55 crore. Early projections suggest the film could achieve a Rs 50 crore opening day across India, marking a promising start for this pan-India release.
In the Hindi-speaking regions, the film has shown considerable potential, earning Rs 3.73 crore from advance ticket sales. The movie is being showcased in multiple formats, including 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX, further enhancing its appeal to a diverse audience. The cast of Game Changer features notable names such as S. J. Suryah, Nassar, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma, alongside its leads. The film's action-packed narrative and engaging storyline have made it one of the most awaited releases of the year.
However, Game Changer faces competition at the box office. Sonu Sood’s Fateh, which also released on Friday, has had a slower start, garnering an estimated Rs 2 crore in collections. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its successful run in its sixth week. The addition of 20 extra minutes of content to Pushpa 2 has maintained its stronghold at the box office.
