Australian cricketer David Warner, known for his love of Indian cinema—especially Allu Arjun's films—has finally confirmed his debut in Telugu cinema. However, it won’t be in an Allu Arjun movie, as many had speculated. Instead, Warner is set to appear in an exciting role in the upcoming Telugu film Robinhood.

Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movies made the announcement at a recent event in Hyderabad. During the event, he revealed that Warner would play a small yet thrilling role in the film, directed by Venky Kudumula and starring Nithiin and Sreeleela.

When asked for details about Warner’s character, Ravi shared, “There’s someone making a cameo in this film. I don’t know if I should reveal it,” before playfully adding, “David Warner has a small role in the movie. I’m sorry, Venky, I had to reveal it because they insisted. His character will be exciting, and I feel proud that we are launching him in Indian cinema with Robinhood.”

Warner’s connection to Indian cinema, particularly through Allu Arjun’s films, has long been known. The cricketer’s social media has showcased his love for the actor’s movies, with Warner often recreating popular Arjun songs and dialogues with his family during the pandemic.

In September last year, pictures surfaced online, showing Warner filming for an Indian project in Melbourne. The images showed the cricketer dressed in a white shirt, stepping out of a helicopter, and carrying a lollipop. In another scene, Warner was seen wielding a golden gun while surrounded by armed goons. These glimpses created much buzz, and now, fans can look forward to seeing the Australian cricketer on the big screen in Robinhood.
