Coldplay has added a fourth show in India to their Music of the Spheres tour. In addition to their three scheduled concerts in Mumbai, the band will now perform at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25, 2025, offering even more fans a chance to experience their high-energy live show.
The band announced the additional Ahmedabad date on social media, sharing the concert details with a post that ignited excitement among fans. The caption read: “2025 AHMEDABAD DATE ANNOUNCED. The band will play their biggest-ever show at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 25 January 2025. Tickets on sale 16 November at 12pm IST. Delivered by DHL.”
Tickets for the Ahmedabad concert will be available on BookMyShow starting November 16 at 12 PM IST.
Coldplay’s three concerts at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, scheduled for January 18, 19, and 20, 2025, saw tickets sell out almost instantly, with virtual queues drawing millions of eager fans. Demand for these concerts has been unprecedented, making them some of the most anticipated events of the band’s world tour.
BookMyShow has yet to confirm ticket prices for Ahmedabad, but prices for the Mumbai shows ranged from ₹2,500 to ₹35,000, with VIP lounge passes on the higher end. Fans can likely expect similar pricing for the Ahmedabad show.
The rapid sellout of Mumbai tickets led to an influx of resellers listing tickets at inflated prices on platforms like Viagogo, where tickets were listed for as much as ₹3.65 lakh. This situation has prompted Maharashtra Police’s cyber wing to urge BookMyShow to implement stricter ticketing protocols for Coldplay’s upcoming concerts, including name-based tickets to prevent unauthorised resales and scalping.
