Chhaava surpasses Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju at the worldwide box office

Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava continues its remarkable box office run, now on track to surpass a massive 560 crore worldwide, as it finishes its second week. On Day 13, the film achieved a significant milestone, surpassing the lifetime earnings of Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju at the global box office.

A Stellar Day 13 Performance

The film's positive word-of-mouth has been a major factor in its success, further boosted by the Mahashivratri holiday. On Day 13, Chhaava earned an impressive ₹29.52 crore in India, marking a 30.10% increase from the previous day’s ₹22.69 crore. Its overseas performance remained stable, adding another ₹3 crore, bringing its overall Day 13 gross to ₹32.52 crore.

Global Box Office Breakdown

Chhaava has already accumulated ₹397.86 crore net in India, which translates to ₹469.47 crore gross. Internationally, the film has earned ₹78.14 crore gross, bringing its worldwide total to an extraordinary ₹547.61 crore gross.

Surpassing Sanju

This figure places Chhaava above the lifetime collection of Sanju (₹541.76 crore gross), which was a major blockbuster when it released in 2018.

On Track to Break Records

Today, Chhaava is set to break the record for the highest-grossing Indian historical film, surpassing Padmaavat’s ₹560 crore worldwide gross. The film is expected to cross this milestone by Day 14, and its next goal will be the 600 crore mark.
