Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, has done extremely well at the box office. In just 15 days, the film earned ₹412.50 crore net in India. Its total gross in India is ₹485.79 crore, and worldwide, it has earned ₹563.79 crore.
The movie has beaten big films like Stree 2 (₹389.35 crore) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (₹311.35 crore) and has become the highest-grossing film in Maharashtra, surpassing Pushpa 2's ₹250 crore. However, Pushpa 2 still leads globally with ₹857.15 crore.
Vicky Kaushal’s performance has helped him become a box office star, with Chhaava’s ₹31 crore opening marking the biggest Bollywood debut of 2025. The movie earned ₹219.25 crore in its first week alone.
The film’s success is because of its story about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, which resonated strongly with audiences in Maharashtra. Vicky Kaushal’s performance was praised, and even with a ₹140 crore budget, the film wowed viewers with its visuals and battle scenes. With ₹485.52 crore in India and ₹80.50 crore overseas, it’s now eyeing big films like KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) and Sultan.
