Vicky Kaushal's historical action film Chhaava is dominating the box office, nearing the ₹400 crore mark as it enters its second weekend. On Saturday, the film raked in a stunning ₹44 crore domestically, alongside a significant $500,000 (₹4 crore) overseas. With these strong earnings, the film is poised to hit ₹400 crore by the end of its ninth day.

According to Sacnilk, Chhaava saw a remarkable surge in its domestic collections, nearly doubling its Friday haul of ₹23.5 crore to ₹44 crore on Saturday. This boost has propelled the film to ₹286.75 crore net (₹343 crore gross) in the domestic market alone. Additionally, the movie has garnered over $6 million (₹50 crore) internationally, bringing its worldwide total to ₹393 crore.

Sources indicate that Chhaava likely crossed ₹400 crore with its Sunday morning earnings, with final figures expected later in the day.

With its impressive ₹393 crore collection, Chhaava has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of recent blockbuster films like Fighter (₹344 crore), Singham Again (₹360 crore), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (₹389 crore). The film has also outperformed Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (₹368 crore), another historical action film, marking a major milestone in its early run.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a biographical drama centered around Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal. The film also features Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, with supporting roles by Rashmika Mandanna, Divya Dutta, and Diana Penty.
