BTS' J-Hope captivated fans during his "HOPE ON THE STAGE" concert in Mexico City, leaving the crowd in awe despite battling health issues before the show. The electrifying performances were held at the iconic Palacio de los Deportes, one of Mexico's largest venues, where J-Hope showcased his signature dance moves, stage presence, and soulful vocals over two nights.
In a heartfelt moment, J-Hope shared with fans the health scare he experienced before the concert. "To be honest, I wasn’t feeling well before the Mexico concert. My fever went up to almost 39.5°C, and I was in really bad condition, but I’m totally fine now!” he admitted, opening up about his struggles.
The artist also shared how he sought medical help in Mexico, revealing, "I had to recover to be able to perform, so I searched for a Korean hospital, thinking there wouldn't be one, but there was! I met a really good doctor, recovered, and was able to perform like this," as translated by fan page JlNSONYEONDAN.
J-Hope’s fans, known as ARMY, quickly flooded social media with support and admiration for his professionalism. Many expressed concern for his health while praising his dedication. One fan tweeted, "He’s so cute (after consistently wrecking us all on tour) Take care of your health, Hobi!" Another wrote, "J-Hope performing as if nothing is wrong with his health. The "HOPE ON THE STAGE" tour, which began on February 28, 2025, in Seoul, marks J-Hope's first worldwide concert series in support of his debut studio album Jack in the Box and EP Hope on the Street Vol. 1. After Mexico, J-Hope will perform in San Antonio on March 26 and 27, 2025. The tour is set to conclude on June 1, 2025, in Osaka.
Despite his health setback, J-Hope's passion and commitment to his craft shone through, ensuring his Mexico performances were unforgettable for ARMY and setting the stage for even more exciting shows ahead.
