Avengers: Doomsday' Cast Revealed: Channing Tatum as Gambit, James Marsden Returns as Cyclops

Marvel Studios has revealed the stellar cast in Avengers: Doomsday. The film, written by Joe and Anthony Russo, is slated to debut on May 1st 2026. The film will follow with its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled for release on May 7, 2027.

The much-anticipated cast was announced at a live streaming event on Wednesday, which showcased the lineup of famous actors from the previous Avengers as well as X-Men films and the most outstanding actors of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and the soon-to-be released Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Robert Downey Jr. was seen at the end of the live stream by Marvel and confirmed his return to MCU, but not in the role of Iron Man, but as the legendary Victor Von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom.

The announcement, however, left fans in frenzy over notable absences such as Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) which weren't mentioned in the list of characters.

Marvel Studios announced the full casting of 2026's movie, Avengers: Doomsday as the film began production this week. The film was released on Wednesday. Marvel used an ingenuous approach to announce names using production chairs that were positioned by a large Instagram streaming live that ran for many hours.
