Amitabh Bachchan sells Mumbai duplex for Rs 83 crore, earning a 168% profit

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has sold his luxurious duplex apartment in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for an impressive Rs 83 crore. Purchased in April 2021 for Rs 31 crore, the property has appreciated by 168% in less than four years, showcasing the immense potential of Mumbai’s real estate market.

The apartment is part of The Atlantis, a premium residential project by Crystal Group, spread over 1.55 acres. Known for its spacious 4, 5, and 6 BHK configurations, the project epitomizes luxury living in the bustling neighborhood of Oshiwara.

According to property documents analyzed by Square Yards, the apartment spans a built-up area of 529.94 sqm (approximately 5,704 sqft), with a carpet area of 481.75 sqm (about 5,185 sqft). The property also boasts a terrace of 445.93 sqm (around 4,800 sqft) and includes six mechanized parking spaces. The sale incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs 4.98 crore and registration fees of Rs 30,000.

Notably, the duplex was rented to actress Kriti Sanon in November 2021 for Rs 10 lakh per month, with a security deposit of Rs 60 lakh.
