Allu Arjun's Bail Hearing in Theatre Stampede Case Postponed to December 30
Actor Allu Arjun's virtual appearance in the Pushpa 2 stampede case leads to the deferral of his judicial remand hearing to January 10. Additionally, the court has postponed bail arguments to December 30 following a request from the prosecutor.

A Nampally court, which was hearing actor Allu Arjun's regular bail petition, has adjourned the proceedings to December 30. The actor had been placed under 14 days of judicial remand, which was set to expire on the 27th. Appearing virtually for the court hearing, Allu Arjun is involved in an ongoing investigation concerning the death of a 35-year-old woman in a stampede during a Pushpa 2 screening at a theatre. During the hearing, the public prosecutor requested more time to file a counter, prompting the court to postpone the arguments on the bail plea.
The actor’s legal team also informed the court about the interim bail granted to him earlier by the Telangana High Court. In the meantime, the court deferred the hearing on the extension of Allu Arjun’s judicial remand to January 10.
The stampede at Sandhya Theatre has attracted considerable public and legal attention. The case centers around the tragic death of a woman and the serious injuries to her eight-year-old son during the benefit show of Pushpa 2 on December 4.
Three weeks after the incident, investigations continue, with Allu Arjun and the theatre management being questioned. The child remains in critical condition in a private hospital.
To assist the family, Allu Arjun and the makers of Pushpa 2 have announced a compensation of Rs 2 crore. Of this, Rs 1 crore was contributed by Allu Arjun, while Mythri Movies and director Sukumar each donated Rs 50 lakh. The compensation was handed over by film producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation chairperson, Dil Raju.
