Telugu cinema star Allu Arjun visited KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad, on Tuesday to meet Sri Teja, a young boy undergoing treatment after being injured in a stampede at Sandhya Theatre. The incident occurred during the premiere of Arjun's latest movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule.

The actor’s visit, which drew significant attention, followed a request from the Ramgopalpet Police Station to keep the meeting confidential to avoid disruption at the hospital. Videos and photos of Arjun entering the hospital, dressed in a green sweater and black pants, were widely shared on social media. Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju accompanied him during the visit, while security was tightened around the premises.

The stampede took place on December 4, 2024, as fans thronged Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of Arjun during the premiere event. The tragedy resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi, while her eight-year-old son, Sri Teja, sustained severe injuries. A case was registered against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management at the Chikkadpally Police Station.

The charges, filed under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), were based on a complaint by the deceased woman’s family. Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the case but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the following day. On January 3, a city court approved his regular bail. He remains listed as accused No. 11 in the ongoing investigation.

Sri Teja, who had been unresponsive for 20 days following the incident, began showing signs of recovery as of December 24, 2024. His father, Bhaskar, expressed gratitude for the support provided by both the Telangana government and Allu Arjun. “The child responded after 20 days. He is showing improvement today. We are thankful for the assistance we have received,” Bhaskar said.

The actor, addressing the incident earlier, conveyed his concern for the child’s well-being and wished him a speedy recovery. However, legal and logistical constraints delayed his hospital visit until January 7.

The actor's Pushpa 2: The Rule has generated immense anticipation among fans, with its release date yet to be officially announced. Industry analysts expect the movie to break box-office records.
