Pune, June 21: Oman has been embracing paradigm shift to meet global standards in higher education (HE).
“We are embracing paradigm shift to meet global standards” quoted Prof Rahma Al-Marooqi, Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation at Oman during her visit to DY Patil International University here on June 20.
Prof Prabhat Ranjan, VC, DYPIU in his welcome address briefed the guests and presented the progress report of DYPIU.
He said, “We had a challenge in front of us about quality education and equally qualified teachers. We have overcome that and have successfully combined technology in our teaching pedagogy which is showing great results.”
In terms of research we have grown exponentially in last 5 years, he said.
He concluded the presentation with a hope to have a strong academic tie up with The Higher Education Ministry, Oman.
The meeting saw the presence of University officials and officials from Higher Education Ministry, India.
