Amidst ongoing controversy over alleged irregularities in competitive exams, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released updated dates for postponed and cancelled examinations.

The UGC-NET, originally conducted on June 18 but cancelled due to concerns over exam integrity following reports of a leaked question paper circulated on the darknet and Telegram, will now be held from August 21 to September 4.

This exam is crucial for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, assistant professor roles, and admission to PhD courses.

Initially conducted offline on a single day this year, the rescheduled UGC-NET will revert to the previous format of a Computer Based Test (CBT) spread over a two-week period.

Similarly, the CSIR UGC-NET, postponed as a precaution amidst the exam's controversies, is rescheduled for July 25-27.

This exam is essential for PhD admissions across various scientific disciplines such as Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Additionally, the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to the Integrated Teacher Education Programme, originally set for June 12 and postponed, is now scheduled for July 10.

This test is conducted for admissions to select central and state universities and institutions, including IITs, NITs, and government colleges.

In response to concerns raised about irregularities in other exams like NEET-UG and NEET-PG, the Centre has formed a panel to ensure fair and transparent conduct of examinations through the NTA.
