NEET-PG Exams Postponed Due to NEET-UG Controversy The NEET-Post Graduate exams have been postponed because of issues with the NEET-Undergraduate exam 2024. The Ministry of Health announced this on Saturday.
The NEET-PG exams were scheduled to take place on June 23. The Ministry of Health said it needs to check the processes of the NEET-PG exams carefully due to recent allegations.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducted the NEET-UG exams, is facing criticism for irregularities. There have been protests across the country, with people demanding that the NTA be disbanded.
Concerns increased after 67 candidates got a perfect score of 720 out of 720. In response, the Ministry of Education set up a committee to suggest improvements for the exam process and data security.
This 7-member committee, headed by former ISRO chairman Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, is set to present its report to the ministry within the next two months.
The Ministry of Health has postponed the NEET-PG Entrance Examination, which was supposed to happen on June 23, 2024.
This decision comes after concerns about the fairness of some exams.
The Ministry wants to make sure the exam process is fair and has decided to check the procedures thoroughly.
They said this is to protect students' interests and will announce a new exam date soon.
