Indus International School launches campaign against use of drugs among children
Sandeep Shandilya urges students to stay away from drugs and focus on a healthy future

Hyderabad: Director of Telangana Anti-narcotics Bureau Sandeep Shandilya, IPS, underscored the importance of moulding the mindset of children towards a positive approach to life. The onus was on the elders and teachers to ensure that they don’t fall prey to vices like drugs, as these addictions could have disastrous consequences and ruin the children’s bright future.
He was addressing an impressive gathering of students and faculty members at the ‘Safeguarding Tomorrow: Drug-Free Campaign’ organised by the premier Indus International School in its Shankarpally campus here on Wednesday.
Calling all sections of people to work together, he said everyone should works towards realising a drug-free community. Towards this, he emphasised the value of group efforts in fostering a safer society. He exhorted the children to take a firm stand against drugs.
Principal of the school Farida Fraz expressed concern at the rising instances of drug addictions among young children. She said that there was a need to nurture the young minds about life’s positives so that they don’t fall for the temptation. She said that their school was doing its best towards achieving a drug-free society.
