Mumbai, Jul 18: Indian Institute of Management (IIMA), Ahmedabad, and FPSB India, the global standards-setting body for the financial planning profession and owner of the international CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification program announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a series of capacity-building initiatives, targeted for professionals in financial planning & investment advisory services. Under the framework, IIMA and FPSB India shall initiate training programs, conduct applied research, and organize focused workshops for professionals on contemporary themes.

These initiatives are designed to equip working professionals and students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of financial planning. The collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between practical learning and a skilled workforce in the domain of financial planning by bringing together the educational excellence of IIMA and the professional excellence of FPSB India.

As part of the initiatives, IIMA and FPSB India shall organise a workshop on asset allocation and factor models for certified financial planners at IIMA campus in December 2024. The workshop shall focus on discussion of factor models and smart beta investing based on the experience in Indian market.
