New Delhi: Nischal’s Smart Learning Solutions, a frontrunner in the K-12 education sector, has achieved a significant milestone with the grant of a utility patent by the Government of India for the world’s first portable micro-scale labs encompassing Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (patent number 414244). This breakthrough innovation, the culmination of 5 million hours of research and development, aims to revolutionize the traditional educational paradigm by fostering a hands-on experimental learning approach for students from grades 1-10.
These portable labs, compact yet comprehensive, house over 5,000 components and facilitate more than 2,500 experiments, effectively addressing the prevalent challenge of inadequate lab facilities in over 90% of Indian schools. Aligned with both Indian and International Boards, these labs are designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Founder of Nischals, Nischal Narayanam, emphasized the transformative impact of these labs, stating, "Education should not be confined to textbooks and traditional methods. With our patented portable micro-scale labs, we are redefining the educational landscape, making hands-on learning accessible to every student."
The key features of these labs include eco-friendly materials, child-friendly design, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Each lab requires only 2 sq. ft of space and costs one-fifth of traditional labs, making them operationally convenient for schools. Additionally, grade-wise lab manuals and video guides enhance user-friendliness, while teacher training programs ensure effective integration into the curriculum.
Currently deployed in over 5,000 schools across India, impacting more than 1 million students and over 20,000 teachers, Nischal’s Smart Learning Solutions is committed to breaking down barriers and promoting activity-based learning. This utility patent underscores the company's dedication to revolutionizing education and empowering educators to provide dynamic and immersive learning experiences.
