IIT Roorkee is set to release the GATE 2025 Answer Key and Response Sheet in the last week of February 2025. Candidates who appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 will be able to download these documents from the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in by logging in with their Registration Number and Password.

What to Expect in the Answer Key & Response Sheet?

Answer Key: Lists the correct responses for all questions asked in the exam.

Response Sheet: Displays the answers recorded by the candidate during the test.

Score Estimation: Candidates can compare their responses with the answer key to calculate their estimated scores.

How to Download GATE 2025 Answer Key & Response Sheet?

Once released, follow these steps:

Visit the official GATE 2025 website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in

Click on the link for ‘GATE 2025 Answer Key & Response Sheet’.

Enter your Registration Number and Password to log in.

Download and review your response sheet and the official answer key.

Objection Window for Answer Key

Candidates who find discrepancies in the answer key can raise objections within the specified period (expected to be five days). To do so, they must:

Provide valid proof of the error.

Pay the required objection fee via debit card, credit card, or other available payment methods.

IIT Roorkee will release further details on the objection process, including the exact dates and fees.

Score Calculation & Marking Scheme

Candidates can estimate their GATE 2025 score using the official marking scheme:

Total Questions: 65 (10 General Aptitude + 55 Subject-specific)

Total Marks: 100

Types of Questions:

MCQs (1 or 2 marks) → Negative marking applies

MSQs & NATs (1 or 2 marks) → No negative marking

Scoring Formula

Total Score = (Marks for Correct Answers) - (Negative Marks for Wrong MCQs)

Candidates can manually calculate their tentative scores using a calculator or Excel. However, the final marks will be determined after the official results are announced.
