The one-day conference aimed at changing the perception of failure into vital steps towards achieving personal and professional growth

Hyderabad: Anurag University hosted a conference on the topic ‘failure,’ at its campus in Hyderabad. With the theme, ‘Right Kind of Wrong: Embracing Failures,’ the day-long conference brought together thought leaders, industry veterans, and academicians for an insightful exchange.
Delivering the keynote address, J A Chowdary, Founder of International Startup Foundation, and former Special Chief Secretary & IT Advisor to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, spoke about reframing how society perceives setbacks as dead ends. “Failure is not the end of the world. It is the beginning of growth. Embracing failure with the right mindset can lead to innovation, resilience, and eventual success,” he added.
The line-up of speakers, Krishna Kumari, Global Delivery Head, Tech Mahindra, Venugopal Kandimalla, India Head, Zellis Global Capability Center, Suresh Samudrala, Chief HR Officer, Satven, and others, reiterated that meaningful success is impossible without encountering obstacles, and only those who are willing to fail can truly achieve greatness.
During the day, various sessions covered themes such as, Redefining Failure, the Science of Failing Well & Psychological Safety, the Courage to Fail, turning Setbacks into Stepping Stones, and the Growth Mindset.
The conference was organised for students to understand how leaders transformed failures into turning points, encourage risk-taking in pursuit of new ideas, inspire participants to see failures as opportunities for learning, provide tools and strategies to bounce back stronger, enable judgment-free conversations around failure, and facilitate shared learning from setbacks.
