Mumbai, Oct 21: In a remarkable display of creativity, teamwork, and perseverance, six third-year BTech CSE students from DY Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi, Pune made waves at the prestigious Ultimate Robotics Competition (URC), organized by PCCOER.

The dedicated team of Adveith Walke, Atharva Abhijeet Chitale, Kanishka Padgalwar, Rushikesh Waghmode, Sanketvardhan Bhonsle and Sachin Meena gave it their all in this cutting-edge contest, with expert guidance from their mentor, Dr Maheshwari Biradar, the Head of the Department (HOD) of SCSEA at the University. The URC is known for its gruelling rounds, which test not only technical knowledge but also creative problem-solving skills. The competition threw formidable challenges at the participants, but the DYPIU team demonstrated unrelenting determination and skill, successfully clearing each round. Despite fierce competition and high-stakes tasks, the students worked tirelessly to design and build a robot capable of overcoming each challenge. While the robot's pace fell just short of securing a win, the team's achievement of completing every task speaks volumes about their technical prowess, innovative thinking, and resilience. The experience of taking part in the URC demanded more than just engineering skills—it called for collaboration, adaptability, and out-of-the-box thinking, all of which these students exemplified. Special appreciation is also due to DYPIU's Vice-Chancellor, Prof Prabhat Ranjan, whose support and inspiration were instrumental in the success of this project. His encouragement provided the team with the confidence and resources needed to excel in the competition.

For these students, representing DYPIU at the URC was an invaluable learning experience. Their journey highlights the university's commitment to fostering innovation, talent, and determination among its students. Their participation serves as an inspiration to future engineers, proving that with hard work and the right mindset, anything is possible. With such promising young talent emerging, the future of robotics and technological innovation is brighter than ever at DYPIU.
