Vruum gives insurance policies freely to drivers

Visakhapatnam: With a slogan stay protected against an unfortunate event, the Vruum, a business travel app, issued a Rs 10-lakh group accident guard policy to car drivers and auto drivers free of cost by paying premium by the startup.

For the first time with the collaboration of the Department of Posts, Government of India, the management of Vruum travel app distributed policies to car drivers and auto drivers who registered with the firm. A function was organised in the city in which Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Gajendra Kumar Meena attended as the chief guest and distributed the policies to the beneficiaries.

In his address, he said Vruum company is the only venture in India that has come forward for the welfare of the car drivers and auto drivers and their families by issuing this policy. He congratulated the company and advised many more drivers to take the policy.

Dr Kutikuppala Surya Rao, noted physician and honorary chairman of Vruum company, explained the benefits of the group accident guard policy. The key features are accidental death, permanent total disability, permanent partial disability, accidental dismemberment and paralysis coverages, accidental medical expenses in patient fixed upto Rs 60,000 or actual claims whichever is lower, Accidental medical expenses outpatient fixed up to Rs 30,000 or actual claims, whichever is lower, is also given in addition to education benefit of around Rs 1 lakh or actual, whichever is lower for maximum two eligible children, in-hospital daily cash of Rs 1,000 per day up to 10 days and family transportation benefits

App director Srujana Paidi explained about the benefits of using Vruum App where zero commission is taken by the company from the drivers.
