Vivo provides jobs to 1.4 lakh Indians

Hyderabad: Vivo released its first-ever India Impact Report 2021 that underlines Vivo's unwavering commitment to the country and transparently reports the difference it is making to millions of Indians. The report highlights that vivo provides direct and indirect employment opportunities to around 1.4 lakh Indians. It created a socio-economic impact on the lives of 1.6 million Indians.
The report also highlights that the company has built over 1,000 vigorous distributors with 98 per cent of them Indians. Vivo also generates over 6,000 job opportunities through its master distributors.
"It has been an enriching journey of seven years in India, and it is heartening to be showered by love by millions of consumers across India. As a brand, our goal is to reach new heights and expand in order to diversify our business portfolio. Scaling up our operations in India is a step in that direction. The Report outlines the significant contribution that the brand has made to the India economy, while remaining aligned to the Make in India initiative. vivo has also positively impact the lives of its employees, customers and partners by being a part of their growth story. Since its entry in 2014, vivo has witnessed a steady run in the Indian smartphone market. Vivo held a substantial 25 per cent market share in 2021, maintaining its stronghold in mainline retail, as per GFK data.
