VCCI women's wing skill training concludes
The women’s wing of Vizagpatam Chambers of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday completed the first round of a skill training initiative named Pragati to improve employment quotients of several women from poor financial backgrounds.

Visakhapatnam: The women's wing of Vizagpatam Chambers of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday completed the first round of a skill training initiative named Pragati to improve employment quotients of several women from poor financial backgrounds.
As part of the initiative, three courses on baking and chocolate-making, tailoring and block printing were conducted. The facilitators for each course were professionals and experts with many years of experience in their area of activity.
Radhhika Satish, founder of Radisa, the well-known chocolate and baked goods outlet conducted a six-week baking and chocolate-making course. Women's wing VCCI thanked her for initiating the programme.
Santi, an entrepreneur with a block printing unit conducted the block printing course, without any cost to the women's wing. The tailoring class students were trained at a tailoring school the fee for which was borne by the women's wing and a few sponsors.
All participants were given certificates on successfully completing their respective courses. The valedictory event was held at Radisa on Tuesday and attended by women's wing president Dr Hema Yadavalli, honorary secretary Sandhya Godey, members and the facilitators.
