Hyderabad: Telangana government has put a special focus on increasing agricultural exports from the State, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said. He was speaking in a round table discussion on understanding the challenges of exporters and the way forward at FTCCI Bhavan here on Thursday.
He said, "Telangana has achieved rapid progress in the last seven years under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The government has taken several proactive measures which resulted in the State achieving impressive growth to the pre lockdown levels."
The government has set up an ambitious target to bring 20 lakh acres under palm oil cultivation in the State, Somesh Kumar informed. Exporters expressed concern about container shortage which is effecting outbound shipments as a result hampering large scale exports. Chief Secretary assured the exporters to take up all the issues with the concerned officials and try to resolve them.
