IACC celebrates 245th US Independence Day

Hyderabad ACHIEVING $500 billion trade between India and the USA is Indo the goal of American Chamber of Commerce's (IACC), the principal bilateral chamber committed to the promotion of industrial, economic, business and commercial activities, Purnachandra Rao Surapaneni, National President of IACC has said.

Addressing the 245th Independence Day celebrations of the USA recently in the city recently, he said it is our national theme. We continue to promote it. This was originally coined by both the governments and during the Vice Presidency of Joe Biden.

The Biden administration policies, Rao added have proven to be pro-industrial and pledge to improve the economic relations by lifting a ban on the H-1B visas and eliminating the per-country quota for the green card. Though the US Independence Day falls on July 4, IACC has been observing it couple of days prior to that date for the past couple of years, he stated.

Joel Reifman, Consul General, the US Consulate General, Hyderabad and Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-Charge, Foreign Affairs Department, Bharatiya Janata Party; Vijaya Sai Meka, Chairman of IACC AP & TS; Shrikanth Badiga, Past Chairman; Ramkumar Vice Chairman, IACC AP&TS, Narayana Rao C, Vice Chairman AP&TS, Brach Committee members and members of AP&TS Chapter and others graced the virtual celebrations.

Joel Reifman said, Independence Day is a reminder to those living in democratic nations like India and the USA to celebrate a strong partnership between two nations. The USA stood with India as we fought together with the pandemic just as India stood with the USA.
