First mango spl train flagged off at Vizianagaram
IN its commitment to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, Waltair Division of East Coast Railway is running parcel special express trains from Vizianagaram, the nodal point for transport of mangoes from north Andhra Pradesh to New Delhi.

Visakhapatnam: IN its commitment to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, Waltair Division of East Coast Railway is running parcel special express trains from Vizianagaram, the nodal point for transport of mangoes from north Andhra Pradesh to New Delhi.
The first mango special train of this season commenced on Wednesday carrying 200 tonnes of mangoes in 11,600 boxes to New Adarshnagar railway station in New Delhi.
In the last financial year Waltair Division has transported 4,350 tonnes of mangoes in 20 parcel special trains.
Taking into consideration of the requirement by the mango traders, Waltair Division will run special parcel train services. Despite pandemic situation, Waltair Division is making all efforts to continue the supply chain of essential commodities, AK Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Waltair Division said.
