Celekt Mobiles sets sight on 90k IT employees for e-waste mission
Keeps 10 e-waste bins at IT office facilities in Hyd to collect disposable electronic gadgets

Celekt Mobiles, under its initiative, ‘Mission E-waste,’ has set up 10 e-waste bins at IT facilities in Hyderabad to collect disposable electronic gadgets. Through these e-waste bins, the company plans to reach out to 90,000 employees. In return, Celekt Mobiles will issue discount coupons of up to Rs 10,000 that can be redeemed against a purchase made at the store.
Celekt Mobiles has introduced a QR code system for e-waste disposal. The initiative, which began in Hyderabad, has expanded to cities including Warangal, Guntur, Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Hanumakonda.
Inaugurating the second phase of ‘Mission E-waste,’ Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, government of Telangana called for responsible disposal of electronic gadgets among IT professionals. Launching the first e-waste bin at IT Park, Mindspace in Hyderabad, on Friday, Ranjan said, “There is a need to put up e-waste bins in every office building in the IT sector. In the Cyberabad area there are around 350 IT office facilities where these e-waste bins can be introduced. If needed the government department can initiate communication with these buildings’ facility managers or building owners to hold such initiatives and install these bins.”
