Vijayawada: The budget introduces transformative measures to drive growth by empowering rural and underserved communities, with a strong emphasis on women’s participation. Programs like the rural prosperity and resilience initiative are pivotal in creating employment opportunities for rural youth, especially women, while mitigating urban congestion, according to Sameer Mathur, Founder-Managing Director of Roinet Solution.

Asked to comment on proposals on rural development, gig economy and financial inclusion, artificial intelligence and technology and education, he told Bizz Buzz that the registration of gig workers on the eShram portal and the extension of UPI-linked credit under the PM Svanidhi scheme are significant steps toward enhancing financial inclusion and economic development. He observed that the relatively modest allocation for AI investment raises concerns about India's ability to remain competitive in the global innovation landscape, especially when compared to nations like the US and China, where AI funding has surged.

"Additionally, the lack of targeted measures for primary education infrastructure is surprising, given its undeniable role in driving per capita income growth and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat. Strengthening investments in AI and primary education will be essential to sustain long-term development and innovation," he remarked.
