Mumbai, Feb 11 Sambhedana Das Mohapatra .She is going to participate in Odisha food and craft mela at Hyderabad on 11th & February 12. This mela-exhibition is initiated by Shilparamam- The Andhra Pradesh Arts, crafts, & Cultural Society in association with Kalinga Swaraj Women’s Wing.
The Self-Learned Artist will be exhibiting her paintings at this event. Considering the cause of the event it’s to promote the traditional culture-based art and craft form of Odisha. Sambhedana emphasized showcasing the comparable paintings more. In fact, Sambhedana has a special interest in cultural based paintings and for shilparamam, she will exhibit her paintings based on Odisha’s rich temple architecture, Lord Jagannath ji paintings, some of her kid’s friendly paintings, and off-course pocket friendly as well.
The main attraction will be Pattachitra- a classic and traditional art form of Odissa and her fusion Art- of Jagannath ji painting with Lippan Art and fusion art of Lord Jaganathji & Lord Ganeshji. She mentions, “I believe that Indian people are united and culture plays an active role to keep this Unity bounded. It always inspires me to create such articles. Here I have tried to portray the same cultural unity of India through this creation.” Sambedana works with versatile mediums like; fluid Art, Ink Art, Watercolor, and Acrylic colors as well. One will be able to see her work here at Shilparamam.
Sambhedana Das Mohapatra is a self-learned artist. Her talent blossomed during the period of lockdown. While having a background in Finance and banking she chooses Art and Crafts as her career. Today, she is an emerging artist and Participated in more than 50+ online and offline exhibitions all over India since 2018.
As mentioned, she has been interested in art and crafts since childhood, and the severity of corona made her feel lonely, to overcome this vile phase, she reconnected with her passion. She started sketching. It wasn’t too hard on Canvas for her and she rejoiced in her kinship with paintings once again.
Sambhedana also says that her Art is more of modern art. She owns a business of Corporate gifting named Oasis- Art & Craft. Under this venture, her own cultural-based art form is converted into merchandised products. She works in various mediums like Acrylic painting, Raisin paintings, mix-media painting, texture painting & fabric painting. She knows the Art of Madhubani painting and Warli art. Sambhedana also loves such classic art forms.
Sambhedana has contributed her legacy to a social cause. She offers training and workshop as a gift to a marginalized community and mostly loves working with children.
She is looking forward to exhibiting her Art Pan-India.
