Hero MotoCorp PAT up 16.7% at `943.46 cr
New Delhi: Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp Ltd on Wednesday reported a 16.7 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 943.46 crore in the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2024, riding on higher sales. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 810.8 crore in the same period a year ago, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 9,616.68 crore as against Rs 8,434.28 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 13.92 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in Q4 FY24 as against 12.70 lakh units in Q4 FY23. Total expenses were higher at Rs 8,427.36 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 7,508.94 crore in the same period a year ago. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, consolidated profit after tax was at Rs 3,742.16 crore as compared to Rs 2.799.9 crore in the previous fiscal.
Bharat Forge profit rises 77% at `227.12 cr
New Delhi: Auto components major Bharat Forge Ltd on Wednesday reported a 77.8 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 227.12 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024, riding on higher sales. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 127.74 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL) said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 4,164.21 crore as against Rs 3,629.05 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were higher at Rs 3,843.55 crore as compared to Rs 3,469.05 crore in the same period a year ago. The Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 8, 2024, recommended a final dividend of Rs 6.50 per equity share of the face value of Rs 2 for the financial year ended March 31, 2024, subject to approval of shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting, BFL said. For the fiscal ended March 31, consolidated net profit was at Rs 910.16 crore as compared to Rs 508.39 crore in the previous fiscal, it added.
Sterlite Tech posts `82 cr loss
New Delhi: Broadband technology company Sterlite Technologies on Wednesday reported a consolidated loss of Rs 82 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2024, mainly due to a dip in optical networking business. The company had posted a profit of Rs 63 crore a year ago. Its consolidated revenue from operations declined about 39 per cent to Rs 1,140 crore during the reported quarter from Rs 1,872 crore in the March 2023 quarter, according to a regulatory filing. “FY24 had its challenges, but we were resilient in actioning our priorities on customer, cost and cash. We see the market turning gradually, and early signs of this are visible in our customer discussions and order volumes,” Sterlite Technologies (STL) Managing Director Ankit Agarwal said in a statement.
HT Media narrows net loss to `31 lakh
New Delhi: HT Media Ltd on Wednesday reported a narrowing of consolidated net loss to Rs 31 lakh in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024. The company had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 20.73 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, HT Media said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 464.41 crore as compared to Rs 441.4 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. Revenue from printing and publishing of newspapers and periodicals in the quarter was at Rs 375.97 crore as compared to Rs 373.85 crore in the year-ago period, the company said. Radio broadcast and entertainment vertical posted revenue of Rs 47.57 crore as against Rs 36.29 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
