Mohan Babu University sets up kitchen at Rs 25cr

Hyderabad: Mohan Babu University announced the establishment of ‘Smart Kitchen’ at its Tirupati campus. The automated kitchen monitors cooking time, temperature, and spice blending so as to serve homely meals while optimizing efficiency and reducing food wastage. This kitchen has earned a place in the Golden Books of World Records for being an automated kitchen with the largest cooking facility. The fully automated Smart Kitchen has installed machines imported from France and Egypt.

The kitchen is designed to cater to over 15,000 students, including those residing on campus, in addition to faculty and staff of more than 900. The features of the smart kitchen includes advanced roti-making machine, preparation of 1,000 kg of rice in 9.2 minutes, automated washing, peeling, drying, and cutting processes. With its auto quantity selection system, it dynamically adjusts servings based on the number of diners (pax), effectively reducing waste and optimizing resource utilisation.
