Megha Gas opens 100th CNG station in Telangana
City- based Megha City Gas Distribution Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited on Wednesday opened its 100th Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station at Keesara in Rangareddy district of Telangana.

Hyderabad City- based Megha City Gas Distribution Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited on Wednesday opened its 100th Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station at Keesara in Rangareddy district of Telangana.
Megha Gas set up its first CNG station at Agiripalli in the Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. Till date, 46 CNG stations have been set up in Telangana, 28 in Andhra Pradesh, 12 in Karnataka, four in Uttar Pradesh, four in Madhya Pradesh, three in Tamil Nadu and three in Punjab.
“MCGDPL is excited about the inauguration, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey. Natural gas stands as the most environmentally friendly fuel source currently available. We take pride in contributing to the nation’s progress in transitioning to a gas-based economy,” CEO of Megha Gas, Venkatesh Palimpati said.
Palimpati further said that the inauguration of the 100th CNG station is not only mark of Megha Gas success but also a significant step towards building a greener, more energy-efficient nation.
“Megha Gas has ambitious plans to establish an additional 400 CNG stations and about two lakh Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections nationwide by 2024. This commitment towards expanding the CNG infrastructure reflects our dedication to reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and effectively addressing environmental pollution,” he added.
Highlighting usage of CNG, Palimpati said that by promoting the use of CNG as an automotive fuel, Megha Gas is paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future. CNG is a viable alternative to conventional fuels and helps mitigate the harmful effects of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment.
