IP office calls for innovations addressing SDGs

The office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks said it has called for 78 top Intellectual Property driven innovations for addressing the Sustainable Development Goals. The innovation has to be patented in India, innovated in India, and well commercialised.
The innovators have to submit the details of their innovations to the Mumbai office of the CGPDTM, by November 29, 2023.
Subhajit Saha, Head of Legal and IPR, Resolute Group said that the compendium will showcase India’s innovations and IP driven culture to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges. “An expert committee will choose the top 78 IP driven innovations for publication in the compendium. From the 78, 10 innovations will be chosen by experts for publication in the BRICS compendium to demonstrate the success story of IP for SDG by India,” said Saha in a press release.
