Esri India awards Rs 10 Lakh scholarships to students

Hyderabad: Esri India, Noida-headquartered Geographic Information System (GIS) software and solutions provider on Tuesday announced the names of 10 students selected for ‘Master’s Scholarships in GIS, 2023’. Under the programme, each student will receive Rs 1 lakh scholarship and Esri’s ArcGIS software for personal use. These students are supported for their commitment to make a positive impact using GIS.
In November 2022, Esri India had announced the programme, intended to run for 10 years, and designed for Indian students who are beginning the second year of their post-graduate course in GIS, Geoinformatics, or a similar subject at an institute or university in India. The first year of the programme was recently concluded with the selection of 10 recipients. The selection process involved submitting a Statement of Purpose, a Project Synopsis, a Presentation and Interview with a Jury.
