Continental Greenbird bags PBFIA award
Homegrown coffee brand, CCL Products (India) Limited, that ventured into the frozen foods category with plant-based meat brand ‘Continental Greenbird’ in 2022, was honored with 'Emerging Plant-Based Food Company' award by Plant Based Foods Industry Association (PBFIA.) The award was presented during the 2nd Plant-Based Foods Summit held in Delhi, which was attended by professionals, business leaders, and notable dignitaries. This accolade acknowledges CCL's dedication in catering to the rising demand for sustainable products while bridging the gap between meat cravings and guilt-free consumption habits.

Continental Greenbird offers four variants of plant-based meat products that are made with premium ingredients and are high in nutrition and taste: Chicken-like Nuggets, Chicken-like Seekh Kebab, Chicken-like Sausage, and Mutton-like Keema. The products are made from plant-based protein which are derived from Green pea, Chickpea, and in the case of Keema from soya. This is done to create a real meat-like taste, texture and maintain excellent flavor.

Continental Greenbird participated in the second edition of PBFIA which showcased the latest trends and innovations in the plant-based food industry The brand's booth took center stage, attracting a a large number of audiences with a live cooking demonstration by renowned Chef Devendra, the Head Chef at Le Meridian. Ms. Maneka Gandhi, member of the Lok Sabha also visited the Continental Greenbird booth and sampled the products. The PBFIA summit served as an excellent platform, providing abundant opportunities to network, gain valuable insights, engage in discussions with industry experts, and explore new horizons within the plant-based foods industry.
