Mumbai Police have launched an investigation following a death threat made against actor Salman Khan. The threat, which was received on the WhatsApp number of the Worli Traffic Control Room, warned of an attack on Khan at his home and the planting of a bomb in his vehicle. The sender was traced to a 26-year-old man from a village near Vadodara, Gujarat. The suspect, who is reportedly mentally unstable and currently undergoing treatment, has been instructed to appear before the Worli Police in the next 2-3 days.

An FIR has been registered under Section 351(2)(3) of the Indian Penal Code (criminal intimidation), and police are continuing their investigation. The threat follows a series of similar warnings in recent months, with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang having previously placed Khan on their hit list. To ensure the actor’s safety, Mumbai Police have increased security measures at his Bandra residence and are intensifying patrolling around the area.

This latest threat is not an isolated incident. Last year, two men on motorcycles opened fire outside Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, firing four rounds. In response to these ongoing threats, Khan has been provided with Y-Plus security.

Additionally, following the firing incident, Navi Mumbai Police revealed they had uncovered a plot by the Bishnoi gang to kill Khan during a trip to his Panvel farmhouse. Despite these constant security challenges, Salman Khan remains under heightened protection as the investigation into this latest threat continues.
