In another tragic incident, a police head constable in Bengaluru, Thippanna Alugur, died by suicide on Friday night, citing alleged harassment by his wife and father-in-law. Alugur, a resident of Handiganur village in Vijayapura and serving at the Hulimavu police station, reportedly left a death note in which he claimed that a phone call made on December 12 from his father-in-law, Yamunappa, had threatened him. The call allegedly included a statement that Alugur should either end his life or face being "finished off" by Yamunappa.

This tragic incident follows the suicide of 34-year-old engineer Atul Subhash earlier this week in Bengaluru, who also reportedly took his life due to harassment by his estranged wife and her family.
