Hoshiarpur, Punjab: India's tractor export brand Sonalika Tractors, a leading OEM in Punjab, has established a large tractor manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur.

The company recently announced the groundbreaking ceremony for two new plants in Punjab, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann attending the ceremony.

Sonalika plans to invest Rs 1000 crore for a new tractor assembly plant and an additional Rs 300 crores for a high-pressure foundry.

The expansion in Hoshiarpur, unveiled by the Chief Minister, signifies a milestone for Punjab's industrial sector.

The new tractor assembly facility, dedicated to Sonalika's exports, will increase its annual capacity by 1 lakh tractors.

Additionally, the upcoming DRAS High-Pressure Foundry Plant will be North India's largest casting plant.

Designed by Japanese engineers, the facility adheres to Japanese manufacturing standards, aiming to enhance quality and efficiency for Sonalika's global expansion to 150 countries.

This development will reinforce Sonalika's position as the owner of the largest integrated tractor plant worldwide.

Vice Chairman of Sonalika Tractors, Dr. Amrit Sagar Mittal, expressed gratitude for CM Mann's presence and highlighted the government's support in facilitating new projects.

Director of Development & Commercial at Sonalika Tractors, Mr. Akshay Sangwan, emphasized the boost in quality and expansion for their heavy-duty tractor range with the new casting plant, equipped with a melting capacity of over 1 lakh metric tonnes per annum and featuring German-made Kunkel Wagner high-pressure moulding line.

CM Mann also visited Sonalika's existing tractor production facility, recognizing its status as the world's largest tractor manufacturing plant, with the ability to produce a new tractor every 2 minutes. He praised the scale and efficiency of operations, acknowledging Sonalika Group's role in driving Punjab's industrial growth.
