Bonfiglioli Riduttori S.p.A, a prominent player in the power transmission sector, announced an investment of INR 100 crore for the establishment of an assembly facility in Pune. Operating under the name Bonfiglioli Transmissions, the Indian unit has committed to significant growth, targeting a topline expansion of over 15% in FY24.
The newly inaugurated assembly line, spanning 42,500 square meters, is geared towards achieving a revenue milestone of INR 1,650 crore in the current fiscal year, compared to INR 1,428 crore in the previous year. Notably, approximately 80% of the facility operates on solar energy, incorporating advanced and real-time smart assembly operations.
With a focus on enhancing services for clients in the discrete manufacturing and process sectors in western India, the facility aims to cater to high-growth markets in the region. Kennady V Kaippally, Country Manager for Bonfiglioli Transmissions, expressed the company's commitment to meeting the evolving market needs in the western region, serving various industries such as food, packaging, cement, steel, pharmaceuticals, textiles, material handling, sugar, power generation, paper, and water treatment.
